Beatric Koubi is from Switzerland and is a homeschooling mom of four. She will be teaching hand sewing and "Tricks for Kids." Beatrice has taught knitting, hand sewing and German at PACE Miami (enrichment classes) for several years. Becky Plotner has a bachelor’s degree in communications and graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 1993.  She has successfully started, owned and operated a people based business with over 18 full time employees and 1,200 clients.  She is a well-known author of three books published on the topic of Miami Beach.  Currently, she is the Managing Editor of The Savvy Times news magazine and is frequently asked to to speak before the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, The Historical Association of Miami Beach and the National Tour Guide Association.  Becky is also a homeschool mom of two boys.

Carol has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Illinois State University and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Illinois.  She has experience teaching middle and high school English classes. Debra Arce Carr began music studies at age 5. She feels music and the performing arts are an integral part of a basic education. Debra received her BA in Music Education from UCF in 1979. She directs G.O.L.D – a non-profit group to encourage development through the performing arts for students of all ages, and Vessels of G.O.L.D., a Christian music and drama performance troupe. Dori Larea has 6 years of experience in management as a commander and a captain of various combat units in IDF. Dori Larea is the Founder of Mind Lab South Florida. His vision is to develop a culture of thinking through games. Upon his arrival to the United States, less than two years ago, Mr. Larea has successfully implemented Mind Lab in over 50 schools in South Florida. Additionally he has brought to its selection for the 2007 Florida K-12 Conference for "Relevant Education for Real Life Experiences" as one of the best 50 practices in Florida's schools to improve Scholastic achievements.

Ernesto Guerrero began studying piano at the age of 10 and later continued expanding his musical knowledge by learning guitar at the age of 13. Head coach Trina Quijano teaches children of all ages acrobatics, cheerleading, dance, gymnastics and break dancing. For 11 years Trina was a recreational and competitive gymnast and also competed for Miami-Dade Community College in both gymnastics and cheerleading. Trina is KAT certified, Safety certified, and is a USAG and AAU member. Trina has been a professional instructor for both dance and gymnastics for over 14 years coaching at various locations.  Trina has attended Dance workshop in World Disney World.  Her training for 12 years is in Jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, modern and broadway. She has choreographed for Walt Disney Magic Music Days Performace, FIU July 4th Half Time Show, and several different parades.

  Francisco Lenis-

  Francisco has a teaching degree from Columbia where he worked with children as well as adults.  He taught Philosophy and Psychology at the High School Level in Columbia.  Francisco additionally has a law degree from Columbia where he served the court system as a judge.  Upon arrival to the United States, he had the opportunity to work with children with special needs.  He currently works part time in the Ft Lauderdale Court System.

Janell has been taking yoga for ten years and teaching for the last four years with a focus on Anusara yoga.  She has taken many yoga workshops in many different yoga modalities including Astanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, and Kids’ Yoga.

I attended the University of Miami School of Music. My training was in classical voice, as well as jazz vocal. I also studied jazz piano. I taught a class called “Beach Baby” where we sang, clapped, and had lots of fun during 2004. I also ran a similar class with young homeschooling children at MSBC during 2006.   Karen Feldner has had extensive touring experience in performance. She has also recorded and published original music which is played repeatedly on cable TV.

I have received a Bachelor of Music degree in viola performance from University of Illinois and a Master of Music degree from the University of Miami, also in viola performance. I began as a Suzuki player but have also studied many other methods in string pedagogy coursework. I have privately taught intermediate viola players working to develop new skills, read multiple clefs, improve rhythm, and most importantly, develop their own sense of musicality and command of the instrument.
