Description:Chinese is becoming a widely spoken language throughout the world. This class will introduce the language to children by singing and playing games. The dialect being used for this class is Mandarin.

Description: American Sign Language is the native language of the Deaf communities in the US (and Canada) and is used by three-quarters of a million Deaf people here in the US. ASL is not only fascinating and beautiful, but learning it might lead to a wonderful career since interpreters are very much in demand. Sign language is a visual and three- dimensional language whose grammar is completely different from that of English. We will also learn about some of the history and culture of the Deaf community.

Description: This class is uses Ana Lomba's immersion methodology to engage active, emotional and imaginative preschoolers in the world of language. A child-centered, whole-language, active approach is used to engage the child in thematic exploration of new vocabulary and dialog using story telling, movement, songs, games and arts and crafts. Ana Lomba's award-winning books and audio CDs, Hop, Skip and Sing Spanish, and Play and Learn Spanish will be used. Weekly arts & crafts projects, and audio cds will be provided.

Description: This beginning to intermediate class will build upon the basic vocabulary learned in the fall class, while boosting confidence with dialog in everyday conversations. A thematic, active approach will be used exploring students' individual interests and placing them in conversational situations where they can practice using their language skills to improve ease of use. Verb tense, grammar and sentence structure will be taught. Lingua-Fun games and audio will be used.
