Description: Students will continue to learn about Florida’s geography, regions, industry and symbols.  They will continue a trip through time as we learn about Florida’s exciting history.  We will pick up the study beginning with Florida Boom Years and continue through present day.  We will look at plants, animals and industry specific to Florida.   Students will have homework weekly that will enhance the learning in class.  They will work on mapping skills, timelines, creative expressions of art, and complete their “My Florida” book as an end project.  For those students who are joining us for the first time they will add to the notebook but not have all of the material from My Florida I Class.

AGE RANGE OF STUDENTS:  most appropriate for students 3rd grade through 6th Grade.

MATERIALS:  Students will need to bring a pencil and folder with pockets for home projects.
